Who we are

The Council of Conservative Citizens is a nationwide organization dedicated to preserving, defending, and promoting the traditional conservative American people and their ideals.  It is among the largest, most active, and oldest conservative movements in the United States.  We're their statewide chapter for Indiana.

Hoosier Nation is the name of the website for our statewide chapter and the name of a book written by Matt Parrott, the chapter's chairman.  The book is self-published by Matt Parrott and was neither published nor endorsed by the Council of Conservative Citizens or its members.  We have to be pretty blunt because the leftists have full-time staff whose actual salaried day jobs are to nitpick that kind of stuff.

We are a genuine coalition of traditional conservatives with a wide range of beliefs.  A general outline of what we stand for is provided by the Statement of Principles.  To actually know what each of our individual members believes on specific issues, you'd have to ask them yourself.

Why we fight

We fight for our nation, our constitution, and our communities.  We believe that America was founded by Christians from Europe and built on Christian and Western ideals.  We fight for the right to celebrate, preserve, and defend that national heritage.

Who we fight

We don't choose our enemies, our enemies choose us.  Anybody who threatens us and our way of life is against us.  When self-appointed representatives of "minorities" work to gain special rights, privileges, and favors then they're against us.  When corporations work to erase our borders and outsource our jobs, then they're against us.  When media moguls produce anti-Christian and anti-American propaganda, then they're against us.

Our state chapter logo symbolizes what we do.  We simply defend ourselves and our heritage.

How we fight

While the Council of Conservative Citizens is a nationwide organization, it focuses largely on local issues.  We recruit the best folks to either support or persuade local politicians who take positions on winnable issues that matter to ordinary folks.  We bypass the mainstream media, delivering our message directly to our fellow citizens.

We bypass the media the old-fashioned way: we knock on doors, we drop flyers, we pick up phones, and we shake hands.  We are also working to spread our message with new media technologies such as this website, social networking sites, email campaigns, and more.  We hold monthly meetings, have a monthly newsletter, host events, and organize political action.

Some propagandists wish to characterize all traditional conservative organizations as dangerous in an ongoing effort to silence and marginalize us.  We don't condone violence or criminal activity.  We are a family-oriented organization which operates in an entirely legal and non-violent manner.  Anybody proposing illegal activities in any context will be asked to leave, will have his or her membership revoked, and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.  There will be no warning.  There will be no second chances.
