A Hostile Environment

Visit Occidental Dissent for a transcript of the speech...

This evening's "Hoosiers for Heroes" rally was a sweeping success. Our crowd of roughly 20 supporters reached dozens of folks walking in downtown Indianapolis with our message of support for Officer Piland. We reached hundreds of motorists with over an hour of picketing on Meridian Street. We reached thousands more with our coverage in the Indianapolis Star:

About a dozen people gathered Downtown on Obelisk Square, at Meridian and North streets, to protest Sharpton’s appearance in Indianapolis. The protest was organized by the Council of Conservative Citizens, formed two years ago and with about 50 members now, according to Matt Parrott of Carmel, the group’s community organizer.

We counted 20 men and women whose names we know and whose hands we shook, and that's not including the passersby who stopped to listen to us and interact with us throughout the event. The Star's own photographs will corroborate that. Technically, we weren't exactly "protesting Al Sharpton's appearance", we were protesting Chief Ciesielski's decision to recommend Officer Piland for termination because of Sharpton, many other "spiritual leaders" in the local Black community, and the witch hunting local media. The Council of Conservative Citizens was actually formed decades ago, It's our statewide Indiana Chapter that was reactivated about a year ago.

The group objects to the discipline meted out to the officers involved in the Brandon Johnson beating.

The protest originally was to be held at Wes Montgomery Park, a half-mile north of Eastern Star Church in a mostly black neighborhood, but then moved the event Downtown. A few pedestrians who happened upon the protest listened briefly but did not stay.

I was prevailed upon by loved ones and security professionals to relocate to a venue that wasn't as prone to race riots as the neighborhood Sharpton was speaking in. Out of concern for the safety of our supporters, we relocated to Indy's beautiful and busy Indiana War Memorial park. Even there, we had six officers from both the IMPD and the State committed to securing our event.

We're very grateful to the supporters who were brave enough to join us this evening. We're very grateful to the supporters whose contributions have almost completely covered the costs of hosting the event. We're very grateful to the officers for assuring our safety at the event. We look forward to this event inspiring as many Hoosiers as possible to join us as advocates for our heritage and our way of life.

Thug Carjacks Octogenarian

Reginald Morris - Source: The Indianapolis StarReginald Morris, a 40-year-old gentleman of color, stole a car from an 87 year old woman, broke into a liquor store, and absconded with a bunch of liquor and smokes. An officer pulled in as the guy was leaving, spooking the poor fellow into running a red light, colliding with another car, and scrambling out of the still-moving car into a nearby wooded area.

Fortunately, all five bottles of vodka, all 25 packs of cigarettes, the old lady's car, and Mr. Morris were recovered by the IMPD shortly after the episode.

As Josey__Wales notes in the comment section: Such thuggish behavior will continue as long as we continue to tolerate it.

Thugs and Cowards, Throwing our Finest under Al Sharpton's Bus

UPDATE: The location has been changed from Wes Montgomery Park to the Veterans Memorial Plaza.

Brandon JohnsonOne of the challenges our soldiers on patrol in Iraq have is the hostility of the communities they're patrolling. It's dangerous enough to spend every workday in our most dangerous neighborhoods, regularly dealing with the most violent and worthless scum in Indiana. But it's truly terrifying when the civilians surrounding you are dangerous, too. That's the difference between a mere police beat and a war zone. The racial tensions in downtown Indy's Black community threaten to boil over into a race riot at the slightest provocation.

On Sunday, May 16th, IMPD Officer Clouthier and Sgt. Shaughnessy were arresting Vincent Johnson, a Black youth, for burglarizing a home at 546 Fisher Creek Dr when a mob began to form around them. They were angrily objecting to the arrest, with two thugs from the crowd, Xavier Lewis and the burglar's older brother, Brandon Johnson, attempting to incite a riot.

Xavier was arrested without incident, but Brandon, having been told to leave the scene, shouted "I'm not going fucking anywhere!" Officer Carney attempted to arrest the juvenile, who violently jerked his hand away and squared up on him with a threat display. Officer Carney slapped Brandon, who then fell to the ground and grabbed ahold of his leg. Carney grabbed him by the hair and slapped him again, shouting "Stop resisting! Stop resisting!"

Brandon Johnson After Resisting ArrestAs one officer was warding off the enclosing mob with his taser, Off-duty Officer Piland arrived on the scene and assisted with the arrest. Brandon continued to resist, struggling away from the handcuffs and attempting to get up. Piland fought to restrain the boy while the other officers were attempting to handcuff him.

Fortunately, the only person injured was Brandon, whose injuries are consistent with having violently resisted arrest. Given the hostility of the mob and the youth, it's remarkable that things ended as peacefully as they did, with no lasting disabilities or injuries. The mob dissipated, the thugs went to jail, and the neighborhood was a little bit safer.

But this is only the beginning of the story.

The local media picked up some pictures of Brandon Johnson's badly bruised face and ran with them, suggesting that the incident may be an episode of "policy brutality". It wasn't, but the suggestion stuck with the Black community, whose preachers and community organizers began agitating for "justice" for this "victim" of "police brutality". It's times like these that our officers need our support the most.

Instead, newly-appointed Chief Ciesielski buckled under pressure and fired Officer Piland, unceremoniously terminating the career of a heroic officer who committed his life to protecting our communities. This man, 2008's Rookie of the Year, a man without a single disciplinary action preceding this episode, is joining the rest of us in the unemployment line due to the cowardice of our elected and appointed officials, the apathy of ordinary Hoosiers, and the agitation of Indy's race hustlers.

But one can kind of understand why Chief Ciesielski has panicked. The FBI is now investigating his department for potential "civil rights" abuses. Al Sharpton is coming to Indianapolis next week to stir the pot. The media is fanning the flames. As a political appointee, his own career is at stake. But he not only made a cowardly decision in ending the young officer's career. He made a bad decision: these sharks only get more aggressive when they smell fear, and now want all five of the officers involved terminated immediately.

Chief Ciesielski Offers up Officer Piland

Only Indiana's Fraternal Order of Police has had the courage so far to stand up for what's right. They are appealing Piland's termination, taking it to a merit board that could potentially overturn the chief's recommendation. While we at Hoosier Nation will be hoping for this board to make the right decision, we'll also be out on the street standing in solidarity with our fellow Hoosiers against Al Sharpton and his attempt to escalate the thug mentality in Indy's Black ghettos.

Officer Piland

Please join us at 7:00pm on Sunday, July 11th, as we defend Officer Piland within a mile of where Al Sharpton will be lionizing Brandon Johnson as a martyr and spreading the very disrespect for law enforcement that caused this episode in the first place. We'll be at the Veterans Memorial Plaza in downtown Indianapolis. The event will include a couple of featured speakers and picketing along Meridian St in support of law and order, the brave men and women entrusted to keep our communities safe, and the victims of these thugs.

Don't forget to bring a sign!

If you plan to attend, be sure to join the Facebook Event, then invite your Facebook friends.

They Hope That You Choke

Conservatives Hate White America, TooAt the recent conference in Nasvhille, Sam Dickson described our opponents' rhetoric as "manic". As somebody with a personal and family history of bipolar disorder, I knew exactly what he was implying. This idea that we ought to be passionately pursuing our dispossession as some sort of twisted crusade is unhinged. The proposition that we should triumphantly herald our own decline is the kind of gibberish one would expect from a man off his meds.

I was at B&N earlier this month and saw a book on diversity by Patricia Sowell Harris entitled, "None of Us is As Good As All of Us". I thought to myself, "What a vapid and demonstrably untrue statement..." It's a book about how McDonald's has supposedly figured out how to make diversity work. At my neighborhood McDonald's, the White supervisors have learned and speak fluent Spanish. I reckon that's one way to make it work. We customers have become adept at McSpanglish. For example, I've learned that "McGriddle" is impossible for Latinas to pronounce. I politely ask for "uno muguido, por favor".

Whirlpool Factory Closes in Evansville

Six hundred working Hoosiers clocked out for the last time, yesterday. The large Whirlpool factory is moving to Mexico. The corporate executives themselves are accountable for giving in to the temptation to exploit third world labor, but that temptation was created by our federal laws, laws that are (literally) written by the multinational corporations and international bankers. And who's to blame wealthy Jews and foreigners for giving in to the temptation to submit their free trade legislation to an American congress and an American president willing to gut their own infrastructure?

Stop NAFTAThousands of Hoosiers joined AFL-CIO labor boss Richard Trumka, an open borders liberal who opposes the fence, in a massive protest. It was understood by all involved, except the protesters themselves, that this was exclusively a cathartic exercise, a safe way for screwed over workers to vent their anger. The Democrats, despite fully controlling the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of our federal government, aren't rolling back the anti-American "free trade" laws that they've always blamed on Republicans. They're not even winding down the senseless wars for Israel that they're always blamed on Republicans.

The Tea Party speakers shriek and spit about "socialism", but there's no socialism going on, here. Their "Health Care" legislation was little more than a successful effort to shift the government's health and medical graft from private corporation beneficiaries to bureaucratic and organizational beneficiaries. There will be little, if any, change in the quality of care. The Democrats aren't going to raise wages, or improve working conditions. By encouraging illegal immigration and fighting for amnesty, they are assuring that wages continue to fall and working conditions will only get more dangerous.

That is, of course, if you're lucky. Your dangerous low-paying job will probably get shipped off to Mexico, anyway. Another job sucked into the whirlpool of corporate greed.

Childhood Poverty in Indiana

Start of the day: Brian Perez, 3, Indianapolis, eats a meal at the Breakfast Club at the Lord's Pantry, 303 N. Elder St. - Matt Detrich / The StarThe Indianapolis Star reports today that More children are held in the grip of poverty. This is no surprise to anybody who hasn't been living in one of Indiana's excellent underground caves. But the article stands out in offering some concrete information about the root causes of the rapid increase in childhood poverty in Indiana. Bill Stanczykiewicz, president of the Indiana Youth Institute, breaks the problem down to the three primary factors:

  • The dislocation of the state's manufacturing sector.
  • Indiana's increase in the number of children born out of wedlock, now at 42 percent, which is above the national average, has led to more children growing up with single parents, making them six times more likely to live in poverty.
  • An increase in the number of immigrants moving to the state; they are more likely to "live in the lowest rungs of the economic ladder," Stanczykiewicz said.

FOOD PREP: Melanie Ohlsen, Indianapolis, stirs macaroni and cheese at the Lord's Pantry, which serves food to needy folks at its location on the Near Westside. - Robert Scheer / The StarUnwittingly, Mr. Stanczykiewicz boils the problem down to open trade, open relationships, and open borders. We at the Council of Conservative Citizens are at the forefront of unapologetically resisting all three of these corrosive trends. We are firmly "protectionist", believing that Hoosier jobs should go to Hoosier workers, not the highest bidder in China. We fight for family values and traditional marriage. We also fight to secure our borders. We can't keep our own children out of poverty, yet our politicians and pundits insist on dumping tens of millions of poverty-stricken third world invaders into our communities.

While race is never discussed in the article, the three pictures that come with the article make it abundantly clear who's stepping up to the plate and who's reaching out for a plate.

RE: Fred on Immigration

I had the pleasure of meeting Fred Reed at AmRen’s 2008 Conference. He’s married to a Mexican and devoid of loyalty to his White American countrymen, but he’s a very creative thinker with a gift for getting to the heart of whatever matter he’s engaging. In his most recent blog post, he picked apart several conservative arguments on the subject of immigration from a frank and politically incorrect perspective, then concluded with “What now, gang?”

His recent eye surgery has temporarily impaired his ability to read, so it’s important that I respond rapidly, while I still have the advantage.

Fred Reed

Fred Reed

Immigration is not something Mexico did to the United States, but something the United States did to itself [emphasis added]. Decades ago it changed its laws to favor Latin immigrants, gives immigrant children born in the US citizenship, avidly employs the ilegals, forbids police to check their papers, give them social services and schooling, establishes “sanctuary cities,” and in general does everything but send them engraved invitations. And then expresses surprise when they come.

Review of Invictus

InvictusClint Eastwood’s latest attempt to school America on racial issues takes place at the very moment in history that South Africa went to the dogs. To contrast the struggle between White and Black South Africa, we see a White rugby coach watch Mandela being escorted from imprisonment declare “This is the day our country went to the dogs.” Shortly thereafter, we hear a clip of the global media declaring “This is the day the world has been waiting for!”

While the two lines were intended to contrast the two sides of the struggle, to understand this historical event is to understand that the lines don’t really contradict one another: the world had been waiting for South Africa to go to the dogs. Every government in the world had submitted to the global imperative of replacing Whites except for one, the “skunk of the world”, South Africa.
